The ingredients for Banh nam are similar to Banh beo, but Banh nam is wrapped in banana leaves before steaming. Banh bot loc are made from cassava tubers (also called tapioca roots, which are finely ground and then refined with starch). The fillings are shrimp and pork braised fat. When boiled, Banh bot loc can be wrapped with banana leaves, or be eaten directly. Usually the food stores have all 3 types.
