After the end of war, Vietnam politics has changed a lot. Vietnam diplomatic relations have been more focused and developed. On September 23, 1975, Vietnam and Germany established the diplomatic relation. After this event, two countries have implemented some activities to develop the exchange relationship such as the preparation of Agreement on Scientific and Technological Cooperation, the construction of some projects… Since 1990, the relationship between Vietnam and Germany has rapidly developed, profoundly changed in both quality and quantity.
In 2015, a great number of cultural exchange activities will be held to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Germany diplomatic relation. This information was given in the meeting between Vietnam Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Ho Anh Tuan and Dr. Kambiz Ghawami, the Chairman of Organization about supporting for World University of the Federal Republic of Germany on June 18, 2014 in Hanoi. On the meeting, two parties discussed and exchanged about the draft content of the Cooperation Agreement in the field of Culture and Art between Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ministry of Science and Arts of Hessen State of Federal Republic of Germany. The Cooperation Agreement is expected to be signed in July 7, 2014. In addition, two sides also discussed plans to organize cultural exchange activities in 2015 to celebrate Vietnam German diplomatic. Dr. Kambiz Ghawami committed to support Vietnam in aspects of training human resources and giving scholarships in the field of culture and arts. Speaking in the meeting, Mr. Ho Anh Tuan appreciated the role of Dr. Kambiz Ghawami in promoting multifaceted cooperation in Vietnam Germany relationship in general and in cultural cooperation with Hessen state in particular.
Logo designing contest is a typical event in Vietnam Germany cultural exchange activities. Participants in the contest can be designing professionals or amateurs and designing individuals or organizations (over 18 years old). Officers and staffs of the German Embassy or Germany Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City are not allowed to participate in the contest. Logos participated in the contest are required to meet some criteria including the high identity, the originality, the clear color and shape, and the unique and durable design. Besides, the main content of logos is the color of German and Vietnam flag. The winning logo will be used for the communication activities of the German Embassy and their partners in 2015. It will also be used in publications, the media and marketing activities, the big events and programs as well as on websites related to the 40th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations Germany and Vietnam.
