Vietnam Book Day again in Hanoi

After Vietnam joined WTO, investment projects come to Vietnam more and more. Hanoi is one of the leading localities participating in appealing foreign investment in Northern Vietnam. Investment in Hanoi has gained significant achievement.

On July 17, 2014, at a press conference, President of World Bank, Mr. Jim Yong Kim informed that WB would provide over 3.8 billion dollars in the preferential credit for Vietnam to help the country raising the additional private capital.

Vietnam investment environment is increasingly appealing more foreign investors, as advantages of cheap labor cost and attractive incentive policies. Many world leading investors pouring huge capitals in Vietnam are Samsung, Nokia, and Intel, etc.

In a recent trade conference between Vietnam and Korea, many Korean firms expressed their desire to cooperate with Vietnam businesses in more fields. Especially, Korea takes special interest in Vietnam products including agriculture and fishery products.

After four years from 2011, the Vietnam Manufacturing PMI recovered with the highest growth rate of 53.5 point, recored in April 2015. With the optimistic context, the production industry in Vietnam will contribute to boost others in the economy.

From March 4 to 6, according to the invitation of Minister of Vietnam Education - Mr. Pham Vu Luan, Minister of Danish Education - Mrs. Christine Antorini and Educational Missions of Denmark visits and works in Vietnam.

From July 31 to August 2, Japanese Foreign Minister Kishida Fumio paid a visit to Vietnam to boost strategic partnership between the two countries in various fields, according the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.

In the next August, Nguyen Van Troi Bridge spanning Han River will be renovated to be the first pedestrian bridge in Da Nang. The total fund of this project is about US $1 million. The bridge is expected to contribute to Da Nang tourism development.

Following success of previous years, Phu My Hung Spring Flower Fair 2015 on a subject of Flowers and Grass of the Country will bring visitors cultural space to explore Vietnam countryside culture. The main theme in this year festival is Harvest Season.

After the first three months of 2015, the Vietnam GDP growth reaches about 6 percent. It is the highest rate in the first quarter during 5 recent years. Among major sectors of economy in Vietnam, industrial sectors surpass others.

On December 13th, an 81-storey skyscraper named The Landmark 81, which belongs to luxury urban area Vinhomes Central Park was started construction by Vingroup. It is expected that this highest building in Vietnam will be inaugurated in 2017.

Starbucks will open its three coffee shops in Hanoi in the effort to conquer the demanding palates of residents in this city. According to a representative of Starbucks Vietnam, the first three stores will be opened in prime locations of Hanoi.

After the success of the first restaurant on Dien Bien Phu Street, District 1, McDonalds Ho Chi Minh City will open the second on May 16th. The new restaurant is located near Ben Thanh Market, on Tran Hung Dao Street.

39 years after the Vietnam Liberation Day, Da Nang has developed significantly in all aspects. More importantly, Da Nang City has leave impression on tourists and residents as the most worth-living city in Vietnam.

As global economy is having positive changes, Vietnam economy will be definitely boosted. It is expected to increase 5.6 percent in this 2014 thanks to the recovery of the United States and Eurozone in banking reforms.
