Celebrated annually in March and April, Ho Chi Minh City tourism Festival is a traditional event of Municipal Tourism. Through 10 years of the establishment and development, it has actually become a good opportunity for the local and tourist businesses to access and introduce domestic and foreign tourists, especially the domestic tourist market with over 10 million residents living together in the city. Besides, the tourism festival also provides chances for tourism businesses to build and assert their brands, directly offer products, tourist services to the biggest nationwide tourist market. Zone B, 23-9 Park (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) is chosen to celebrate this annual festival.
Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival is an opportunity to expand exchanges, strengthen cooperation to promote the beauty of the scenic site, traditional ethnic cultural identity in regions to attract visitors; simultaneously, promote the consumption of unique, rich and diverse tourism products through the collaboration among Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Tourism Promotion Center from provinces in the country. Units participating in the festival include Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Tourism Promotion Centre; Association of Tourism and provincial Sports Association; representative offices of Tourism Promotion organization of foreign countries in Ho Chi Minh City (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore...); representative offices of foreign tourism enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City; travel operators; hotels, resorts, restaurant representatives; transportation companies; national and international airlines; training facilities of tourism; restaurants and hotels getting standard of service for tourists; business enterprises and complementary tourist services as health care services, souvenirs, and handicrafts…
The highlight of the festival is attractive tours, colorful tourism stimulus promotions and activities, along with performing arts performances, special conferences and tourism development cooperation seminars to mark a milestone of its formation and development.
In the framework of the festival, organizers specially arrange spaces for booth clusters of provinces and regions such as North, Mekong Delta, Central Highlands, and Central Coast...facilitating to extensively and completely promote their tourism. Pavilion cluster each will become a private space to show its characteristics, advantages, and potentials. In addition, diverse tourist services will hopefully attract a large number of visitors, increase efficiency for promotional activities. Simultaneously, within the festival, enterprises have a chance to exchange experiences, meet customers, introduce and offer products, unique services through artistic cultural activities, quizzes with prizes, and preferential tour price...(they can self-organize at their booth in a small-scale, or hold right on the stage of Organizers in large-scale).
