Project of expanding Cat Bi International Airport is one of projects on key transportation development in Hai Phong, and it is expected to finish in 2015. This project has a total capital of 3,600 billion dong.
Airports Corporation of Vietnam is planning to expand the domestic terminal in Tan Son Nhat International Airport in anticipation of a rise in passengers in coming years. This project promises to most conveniently serve passengers’ demand.
Recently, Vietnam Minister of Transport, Mr. Dinh La Thang has approved an investment project in expanding Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The expanding project will be started in November 2014 and completed within 26 months.
Recently, the first Vietnam Airlines flight to Singapore was officially operated at the new Noi Bai T2 Terminal. Besides, the airline will conduct surveys, research and install information technology system to meet the exploitation of modern aircraft.
Recently, Phan Thiet Airport was inaugurated to construct under a BOT project. It is the first airport in Vietnam applies the construction form. The airport is expected to contribute greatly to the socio-economic development of Binh Thuan.
Recently, at Vinh Airport, Aviation Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) in collaboration with Nghe An Province celebrated the inauguration of the terminal and announced the plan that Vinh Airport becomes Vinh International Airport.
According to Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Pleiku Airport will be closed temporarily within about 7 months. During this time, Pleiku Airport will be repaired and upgraded with the project for extending runways, taxiways, and aircraft apron.
Hosting the meeting on construction plan of Da Nang International Airport - International Terminal, Mr. Dinh La Thang affirmed that this year, Da Nang International Airport will reach the capacity of 6 million passengers per year.
