The biggest volume is seen in Khu Tuong. Simultaneously, policies and mechanisms are given to maintain and develop this collective trademark, to meet expectations of farmers in Phu Quoc. Authorities of this district also research and apply scientific and technical advances for improving product quality, reducing production costs, and increasing profits for growers such as applying technological drip irrigation of Netafim-Israel for pepper trees, building models of pepper production which is certificated by GlobalGAP. Today, the pepper plantation does not just bring great economic benefits, but it is also a valuable tourist attraction in Phu Quoc. In terms of economic field, the value of 1 kg of dry pepper is 6.7 times higher than 1kg of coffee. However, it is not easy to grow and take care pepper.
