In the eyes of some people, Hanoi is one of favorable destinations in Vietnam because of special cuisine, stunning landscapes or something specific. However, to me, this land is attractive just because of the melody of Hanoi streets.
In the evening of September 19th 2014, Hang Buom Food Street in Hanoi Old Quarter was officially opened by Dong Xuan Joint Stock Company. This food street is expected to promote Hanoi cuisine to tourists.
In recent years, Hanoian is falling in love with grilled dishes or “mon nuong” in Vietnamese, especially in the cold weather. That is why grilled dishes become popular dishes among street foods of Hanoi.
Some said that Vietnam is the kitchen of the world, which shows the diversity of Vietnamese cuisine. In 2013, the Asian Record Organization has recognized 12 Vietnamese dishes as Asian records. Among those 12 dishes, there are 3 Hanoi dishes.
