Nha Trang weather is typified by weather in Central Vietnam with the impact of ocean climate, topography and Foehn wind from Laos. There are two main seasons in Nha Trang: rainy season from September to December, and dry season from January to August.

Nha Trang is a coastal city as well as the center of politics, economy, culture, science and technology and tourism in Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam. Nha Trang is known as a Pearl of South China Sea, the green jewel as its value of natural beauty climate in Nha Trang. Nha Trang weather is affected by tropical savanna climate adn ocean climate. Nha Trang weather in particular and weather in South Central Coast in general is mild with the average temperature of 26.3°C. Weather of the city is classified by a less cold winter and long dry period. It is rainy more in winter from September to December, accounting for nearly 80% of annual rainfall. Sometimes, the rainy season begins from July or August and ends in early November. Compared with provinces in South Central Coast, Nha Trang has a favorable climatic conditions to exploit tourism almost all year round. The main characteristics of Nha Trang climate is moderate temperatures all year round (25°C - 26°C). The division of seasons is intense (rainy season and dry season) and less effected by storm.

Climate of Nha Trang is also dominated by tropical monsoon climate, but has the natural features of the ocean climate, creating relatively mild atmosphere in the city. The annual average temperature is 26°C with 2605 hours of sunshine, highest in August (29.3°C), and lowest in February (23.9°C). In Nha Trang, rainy season lasts for four month from September to December. The average annual rainfall is 1799mm. Average relative humidity is 77% annually. 

In January, the rainfall comprises one sixth the rainfall in December. In this month, rains and storms less happen with the temperature of 22-27°C. In February, weather in Nha Trang is so ideal to travel with dry air, less rain and temperature of 20-25°C. By March, the temperature gradually rises. The temperature is about 26-31°C in April. Yet, the rainfall level still low and moderate with about 20mm. From May to August, temperature and humidity rise significantly in Nha Trang, but low precipitation. 

From September to December, the rainy season begins in Nha Trang. In September, rainfall level increase sharply with an average of 135mm; the temperature hardly changes (27-30°C). October witnesses a doubled level of rainfall compared to that in September, higher humidity (around 90%). In November, heavy showers occur more often, triggering a huge amount of precipitation. In this month the mild and sober beauty of the place suddenly turns wild with the long wet spells and rain. In December, winter in Nha trang is characterized by a bit cooler air, lower temperature of about 24°C.

From January to May, Nha Trang is at its best. Moderate temperature, less even no rains, and cool air are favorable climatic condition for any type of trips to Nha Trang. Among these month, February is considered the best time to Travel Nha Trang. Weather in Nha Trang in this month is dry and mild. You can freely enjoy your holidays on the beach with azure sky and cool seawater. Besides, summer months from June to August are another good time to travel Nha Trang. However, during these months, you will cope with the over crowdedness in every Nha Trang Beach, as this is the tourist season. Coming to Nha Trang in this period, you can avoid being sweaty all the time as the high humidity and the sun in May. In addition, months at the end of a year (September to December) are the rainiest months during a year, thus, you can give travel plans to Nha Trang in these months some rest.
