French invasion in Vietnam officially ended with the victory of Vietnamese armed forces in Dien Bien Phu. At the same time, the victory with Geneva Conference created favorable condition for other countries, Laos and Cambodia, to regain independence.
From 1954, the U.S intervention in Vietnam was growing. Many policies and measures on politics, military and diplomacy of the U.S were applied in Indochina with focal Vietnam. This triggered the prolongation of Indochina War and beginning of Vietnam War.
