The Wi-Fi coverage on Vietnam Airlines aircrafts requires a modern infrastructural system. The development of in-flight Internet service brings many benefits to passengers and simultaneously brings significant revenue to the economy. According to the statement of the General Director of Vietnam Airlines, Mr. Pham Ngoc Minh, the test plan of wifi coverage on domestic flights and international will start from May 2015. He also said that the technical condition was ready for testing Wi-Fi coverage in some Vietnam Airlines flights. After successfully testing, the airline will supply full Wi-Fi coverage of its fleet. With this coverage, passengers will use the Internet service onboard as comfort able as on the ground. Currently, modern aircrafts allowing the use of this technology are A350 and Boeing 787. In the world, now there are more than a dozen airlines offering in-flight Wi-Fi service with an estimated cost from 2.75 to 49.95 USD such as Air Canada, AirTran, Alaska Airlines, British Airways, and American Airlines... Earlier, VN Airlines had an agreement with the service provider Gogo on the deployment of integrated connectivity solution on new Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A350 aircrafts.
