Entrance to Taroko National Park

- Tourists should dress politely and discreetly when visiting palaces, pagodas, temples... and should not push and should line up in sequence when visiting these places. Avoid profanity, noise or laughing in religious places.

- Tourists should prepare themselves some important drugs as abdominal pain medications, motion sickness medication, flu medications, analgesics... as well as specific remedy. 

- Currencies used in Taiwan are the Yuan and Taiwan dollar; only the commercial shopping centers, supermarket, great restaurants, major stores accept payment in US dollars. Tourists are advised to change money from their country to facilitate the payment here. Tourists can change money at the bank or foreign currency exchange counters at the airport.

- Supermarkets have quoted prices, but the price of items in every supermarket has a pretty big difference. When shopping in Taiwan, tourists should carefully select and check items, remember to bargain because sellers often offer very high prices. 

- Do not smoke in public places, in shops, on public transport, where there is air conditioning.

- Do not litter in public places or in the streets because if tourists violate, or you will be fined heavily.
