-Infant (0-2 years old): Infants less than 7days of age are not allowed on board. For each infant, passengers can bring 10kg checked baggage.

-Children (2-12 years old): Malaysia Airlines provides unaccompanied minor service, with a special lounge to assist the leisure and the snacks for children and entertainment services, games for kids as well.

-Pregnant women: Passengers who are pregnant women must have the medical record stating the gestational age and health condition. At the airport, during check-in they will be required to fill up the Release and Indemnity Form (R&I).

- Passengers need the special assistance: The disables may be eligible for discounts on Malaysia Airlines domestic airfares. Passengers need to inform the airline service staff of their disability so that the airline can make all the arrangements necessary.

Malaysia Airlines have 4 options for passengers to check in including web check-in, mobile check-in, counter check-in and self-service kiosk.

- Check in counter will close 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time for domestic and international flights at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. At domestic airports, check-in counter will close 45 minutes before departure for domestic flights and 60 minutes for international flights. Therefore, if choosing counter check-in, passengers should present at the airport at least 2 hours for domestic flight and 3 hours for intentional flight.

- Web check-in and mobile check-in are available from 48 hours and up to 90 minutes before your flight. To do check-in, passengers please do as following instruction:

+ Select your preferred boarding pass option: Print/ Mobile boarding/ Apple Passbook
