Currently, the company has ran two Marguerite Junks numbered Marguerite Junk 1 and Marguerite Junk 2. Marguerite Junk 1 is a little bit larger with the total areas of 34.5m long, 7.3m wide, and 8m high with 3 decks. Being launched in Augusts 2009, Marguerite Junk 1 has 12 cabins with the capacity of 24 passengers. Meanwhile, Marguerite Junk 2 is younger and smaller. With dimensions of 33.2m long, 6.7m wide, and 5.8m high, Marguerite Junk 2 has 9 suites which can accommodate 18 passengers. As one of superior cruises in Halong Bay, 2 Marguerite Junks have medium sized, hence, these cruises can easily access to secluded areas in Halong Bay to make tourists feel truly Halong sense.
In spite of having different numbers of cabins, 2 Marguerite Junks also offer tourists 2 types of suites which are double rooms and twin rooms. The space of Marguerite Junk 1 is 18m2, meanwhile, the total area of Marguerite Junk 2 is smaller with 15.6 m2. Each suite in these junks has a large window which offer the beautiful views into Halong Bay. Besides, passengers can have the feeling like they are in home in Marguerite’s fully equipped cabins. After moving from Hanoi to Halong, tourists will embark on Marguerite Day Cruise Vessel and start cruising at 11.30 am. A delicious set lunch will be served when Marguerite Junks will pass through Ba Hang fishing village, limestone islands of Incense Burner, Stone Dog, Duck Islet, and Turtle Island.
In the afternoon, the boat will stop at the most ambiance area for swimming in crystal blue water. Then, tourists can relax or sunbathe on board while Marguerite Junks move towards Thien Cung Cave. After sightseeing at Thien Cung Cave, the cruise will come back to the harbor.
When arriving at Hon Gai Harbor, tourists will enter in Marguerite’s waiting longue for short break before getting onboard. Check-in onboard, then tourists will be served a welcome drink and a freshly prepared lunch when the cruise will pass through Bai Tu Long Bay and get into Halong Bay. At Vung Ha beach, passengers can enjoy kayaking, swimming, and relaxing in one of Halong Bay’s hidden coves. Returning to the cruise for relaxing as Marguerite Junks cruise to secluded Dong Tien Lake and anchor overnight. Before having a barbeque dinner on the sundeck, tourists can admire sunset party and Happy Hour and see cooking class lesson in traditional Vietnam cuisine. In the evening, passengers can relax and attend in a variety of activities like board games and squid fishing.
In the early morning, passengers will practice Tai Chi on the sundeck. Then, a light breakfast will be served while cruising to Vung Vieng fishing village and explore Halong Bay communities. Returning to the boat, tourists will enjoy the last scenery of Halong Bay over brunch as Halong Marguerite Junks cruise back to shore. At 12.00 (noon), passengers will be transferred by tender to the pier, relax inside or sit in Marguerite waiting lounge and wait for return transportation.

Practicing Tai Chi on the sundeck, then tourists will enjoy a light breakfast before transferring to a smaller boat for the day’s activities. When visiting Soi Sim Beach, tourists can enjoy swimming, hiking, and other activities on the beach such as football, volleyball, and stand-up paddle boarding. Passengers will also have chance to go to the top of a small hill for panoramic views across the Bay. Approximately at 10.30 am, Marguerite Junks will take tourists to Sung Sot Cave, the largest and most impressive cave in Halong. About 1.5 – 2 hour later, a freshly prepared multi-course lunch of local seafood will be served.
In the afternoon, passengers can take to the kayaks and venture into the Dark and Bright Cave. At 5.00 pm, returning to the Junk, passengers have time to relax and enjoy the second night on Halong Bay.

Generally, tourists will arrive at Hon Gai Harbor at noon and sit on wait longue for short break before getting on board. Therefore, time check-in time is around 12.30 (noon). And at 12.00 (noon) in the last day of a voyage, tourists will be transferred by tender to the pier.

Children and extra beds
The maximum occupancy for any cabin in Marguerite Junks are 2 adults and 1 child under 12 years old. Children can stay in the same cabin with parents either with or without extra bed. According to Marguerite’s policy, one child under 5 years old will not be charged. Children aged from 6 – 11 will stay in another cabin at 75% of the adult rate. For those who from 12 years old will be cost at the adult rate.
Cards accepted
Clients can make payment through cash, bank transfer, or credit cards (Visa, Maste, and AMEX). Please be noted that a surcharge for banking fee is required. Clients will receive detailed payment guide in email by travel consultant when being necessary.
How safe is your boat?
Safety always comes first in the operation of Marguerite Junks Halong Bay involving design, construction methods and materials, life-saving equipment, safety training and drill procedures, refurbishment standards, fire protection … All of the inspections test all firefighting equipment, fire screen doors, alarm systems, lifejackets and buoys, lifeboats and life rafts, communication systems, smoke-detecting systems, watertight door, distress signals and all navigational equipment as well as food safety standards. Besides, all crews are fully licensed, highly responsible and have many years of experience.
What should I bring onboard?
Marguerite Junks advise that tourists should bring along with Credit/ATM cards, traveler’s checks, VND in cash, passport with valid Vietnam visa, travel documents, tickets, tour booking confirmation, camera and charger, sensible beach footwear (comfortable walking shoes, swim shoes/ flip-flops), swimsuits, bathing suit, sunscreen, sun glasses, hat, binoculars, and Halong map.
