+ Shall Vietnam Airlines carry passengers as unaccompanied children between 6 and 15?

Yes. VN Airlines accepts to carry passengers as Unaccompanied Minor (UM) aged between 6 and under 15 with the following conditions:

- UM could travel alone without cabin crew assistant service. If the passengers need these services, it is required to book and pay in advance. Accompanied cabin crew service shall be charged separately from other Special services charges and equal to applicable fare respectively to the class of services used.

- UM service must be requested 24 hours prior to the estimated time of departure.

- UM can be accepted on Business, Deluxe Economy and Economy class. The total UM accepted for carriage on Business class must not exceed 10% business seat capacity of each flight (round number up applied)
+ How to make reservation on VNA for passengers as unaccompanied children?

Special orders

Parents/guardians/authorized person (only the mentioned subjects accepted) contact offices and agents of VNA to proceed registration for transporting unaccompanied children. The above mentioned persons must complete, sign, and certify the disclaimer of transporting unaccompanied children and pay for tickets and services (if any).

The procedure to send children traveling alone on Vietnam Airlines at the airport includes:

- Birth certificate or passport
- Ticket
- The "Disclaimer for transporting unaccompanied children" (children must be at the airport two hours prior to departure)
- Persons at both ends of airports must have proof of relationship with children (consistent with the information declared in the disclaimer for the transportation of unaccompanied children)
+ Shall Vietnam Airline carry infants?

Special orders

Yes. Vietnam Airline will carry infants with the following conditions:

- Infants under 14 days of age, premature or unhealthy infant (let alone infant feeding in oxygen tent) are not accepted for carriage by Vietnam Airlines.

- Infant is not accepted for carriage as Unaccompanied Minor (UM) by Vietnam Airlines

- Infant in healthy condition shall be accepted provided that he is accompanied by his parent or authorized

- Each adult is allowed to travel with 01 infant

- If an adult escorts two infants:
• From the second infant, each infant shall be charged an applicable fare for children and must be required cabin crew assistant service.
• Accompanied cabin crew service request must be made at least 3 days prior to estimate time of departure for domestic flights and 5 days for international flights.

- For premature and/or unhealthy infant (except infant feeding in oxygen tent):
• All of procedures is to be completed the same as MEDA passenger
• Must be accompanied by a doctor or a nurse who specializes in pediatrics.

- The total infants accepted for carriage on a flight must not exceed 10% seat capacity.
+ Shall VNA allow an adult travel with both infant (INF) and children (CHD)?

Special orders

Yes. VNA transports passenger withinfant (INF) and children (CHD), and other cases as follows:

- 2 CHD of 2-6 years old
- 01 INF and 02 CHD under 6 years old and shall be charged an applicable fare for cabin crew accompanied service for 01 CHD between 2 CHD above
- 02 INF and 01 CHD under 6 years old and shall be charged an applicable fare for cabin crew accompanied service for 01 INF between 2 INF above
- 02 INF and 02 CHD under 6 years old and shall be charged an applicable fare for 02 cabin crew accompanied service for 01 INF and 01 CHD between 2 INF and 02 CHD above
+ Shall Vietnam Airline provide bassinet service?

Special orders

Yes. Baby basket service (BSCT) offers specialized carriage for baby onboard (this device is accompanied with individual aircraft).

Conditions for acceptance:

- Prior request is recommended
- Only infant from 14 days up to 2 years old and whose weight is not more than 16 kg is accepted
- The maximum number of BSCT allowed per flight is subject to individual aircraft
+ Shall VN Airlines provide Wheelchair service?

Special orders

Yes. Wheelchair service (WCHR/WCHS/WCHC) assists disabled or medical passenger who has difficulties to walk or move about on their own, including:

- Wheel-chair for Ramp (WCHR) offers passenger who can ascend/descend steps and make own way to/from cabin seat, but requires wheelchair for distance to/from aircraft across ramp

- Wheelchair for Steps (WCHS) offers passengers who cannot ascend/descend steps, but are able to make own way to/from cabin seat, requires wheelchair for distance to/from aircraft and must be carried up/down steps.

- Wheelchair for Cabin (WCHC) offers to passenger who is completely immobile. He requires wheelchair to/from aircraft and must be carried up/down steps and to/from cabin seat. (this device is accompanied to individual aircraft)
+ When is the latest time to register Wheelchair service of VNA?

Wheelchair for Steps (WCHS): VNA requires passenger 24 hours before the scheduled departure time. Accompanied WCHS is not limited. The maximum number of unaccompanied WCHS passengers allowed per flight is not more than the number of main emergency exit of individual aircraft.

While, Wheelchair for Cabin (WCHC) offers to passenger who is completely immobile. He requires wheelchair to/from aircraft and must be carried up/down steps and to/from cabin seat. (this device is accompanied to individual aircraft).

Accompanying cabin crew service can be ordered if required. If itinerary involves one or more international sectors, request must be made at least 5 days before departure. If itinerary involves only domestic sectors, request must be made at least 3 days before departure.
+ Shall Vietnam Airlines carry blind passenger?

Special orders

Yes. Blind passengers service (BLND) is the service offered to passengers with vision impairment, including:

- Accompanied blind passengers
- Unaccompanied blind passengers

Conditions for acceptance:

- The total number of BLND passengers accepted on each flight equals accompanied and unaccompanied BLND passengers.

- If BLND passenger is accompanied with seeing eye dog, animal as checked baggage procedure must be completed for seeing eye dog.

- For accompanied BLND passenger: Accepted for carriage as normal passenger, no prior request is required. There is no limitation on the number of BLND passengers on each flight.

- Unaccompanied BLND passengers: Request must be made at least 24 hours before departure. Only BNLD passenger who is able to make own way, self- service in all itinerary is accepted. Passengers must have assistance from relatives at departure and destination stations. The maximum number of unaccompanied BLND allowed must not exceed the number of main emergency exits of each aircraft.

Accompanying cabin crew service can be ordered if required. If itinerary involves one or more international sectors, request must be made at least 5 days before departure. If itinerary involves only domestic sectors, request must be made at least 3 days before departure.
+ How about deaf passenger service in Vietnam Airlines?

Special orders

Vietnam Airlines service for deaf passenger is available in all routes. Deaf passenger service (DEAF) offers to passenger meeting difficulties in hearing, including:

- Accompanied deaf passenger
- Unaccompanied deaf passenger

Conditions for acceptance:
- Accompanied deaf passenger is accepted as usual passenger.
- Unaccompanied blind passenger: Prior request is recommended and not limited.
- The service is NOT required to have cabin crew accompanied. If the passengers need this service, it is required to book and pay in advance. . Accompanied cabin crew service shall be charged separately from other Special services charges and equal to applicable fare respectively to the class of services used.
+ Shall extra seat for passenger be available on VNA plane?

Special orders

Extra seat service (EXST) offers to oversized passenger who needs 2 adjacent seats onboard in the same flight.

Conditions for acceptance:
- 24 hours notice is required and not limited
- Extra seat is required to book in the same class.
- Extra seat passenger is offered free allowance of baggage according to the seat he booked. (For e.g., if a passenger books extra seat, he/she will get 2 free allowance of baggage)
