Asia Park Da Nang begins forthcoming operations

Sun Group Corporation recently has celebrated groundbreaking ceremony to construct Asia Park Da Nang cultural park and recreation on 2/9 street with a total investment of $ 200 million.

Located on 2/9 street, Hai Chau District, Da Nang city, Asia Park which is invested and constructed by Sun Group Corporation with a total investment of $ 200 million will be the park owning the 4th largest roller coaster in the world. According to Mr. Dang Minh Truong, General Director of Sun Group Corporation, Asia Park Da Nang is designed and constructed by Bill Bensley (the renowned architect who retains 4 consecutive years to rank top 5 most famous architects in the world) under Bensley Design Studios designing Consulting Group with a total planned area of ​​880,082 sqm. The area includes 763,208 sqm of the ground and 116,874 sqm of the water in the southeast of Memorial (Hoa Cuong Bac ward, Hai Chau District).

The project will be implemented with four main functional areas, namely a cultural park, an amusement park, a multi-functional center and a spacious parking area. In particular, the cultural park is divided into nine zones representing 9 countries in Asia including Japan, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Thailand and Vietnam. Each division will include a miniature of architectures, landscapes and historical monuments, arts, entertainments, and crafts...symbolizing each country in order that tourists can comfortably explore.

The amusement park is designed for various types of recreation such as a natural maze; adventure recreations; the latest and most adventurous games in the world to meet needs of tourists of all ages, especially the youth...In particular, Sun Group Corporation has ordered a roller coaster with the height of 125 meters (ranking the fourth largest one in the world), strongly contributing to attracts international friends to Da Nang tourism. It expects to be installed right on the coming New Lunar Year to serve both residents and foreign tourists.

Asia Park starting constructing on 20th May, 2013 expects to be completed within 18 months of construction and reaches an international level. The whole project is expected to be finalized 100% for 4-5 years, creating jobs for over 1,000 local workers. This will be a modern park combined with many novel and attractive games in order to create an indispensable destination for the local and tourists to Da Nang. Once completed, Asian Park is expected to welcome about 1.5 million tourists per year.
