Vietnam has received the agreement from Cambodia to implement a new route from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh and return over its airspace. The new route will shorten the flight itinerary and save fuel costs for airlines.
On August 27th 2014, International Aviation Transport Association (IATA) in collaboration with Vietnam Airlines held a seminar themed “Aviation: Wings of economic growth and connect Vietnam to the World”.
The first Airbus A321 of Vietjet fleet came to Vietnam at Tan Son Nhat Airport. This is also the 9,000th airplanes manufactured by Airbus, one of two leading aircraft manufacturers in the world. The aircraft has advantages of saving fuel and cost.
Kenya Airways officially announced the schedules of flights from Kanya to Hanoi. The new Vietnam - Africa route will bring Africa closer to Vietnam. This is the first airline opening direct route connecting Vietnam and Africa.
