At the end of last September, European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certificated a safe aircraft category for commercial purpose of the newest Airbus' product, the A350 XWB (Extra Wide-Body). Vietnam Airlines will soon receive this aircraft.
On November 22, the first Airbus A350 XWB visited Noi Bai International Airport. The visit to Vietnam is one of parts in 11-day journey of A350 XWB in Asia. It is reported that 10 Vietnam A350 XWB and 4 hired ones will come to Vietnam in early 2015.
Recently, the first Vietnam Airlines A350 XWB aircraft left the paint shop of Airbus in Toulouse, France. The aircraft has a new exterior with typical colors of Vietnam Airlines, blue and yellow of golden lotus.
In the coming time, Vietnam Airlines will welcome the first Airbus A350 XWB. Vietnam Airlines will be come the first carrier in Asia owning the latest aircraft of Airbus. At the same time, the airline will receive its Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner this month.
Vietnam Airlines will put the first Airbus A350 XWB into operation at the end of this week. Initially, the aircraft will serve Vietnam Airlines domestic flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and then direct international flights from Hanoi to Paris.
