In the eyes of both Vietnamese and friends around the world, the Long Bien Bridge is a historical witness for 12 decades and has become a symbol of Hanoi. When travelling Hanoi, tourists will have the chance to contemplate the beauty of this bridge.

The center of Hanoi is crowded, noisy and expensive place to live, so after spending a year in this city.  I found a place to live across the river any cheaper, quieter section of town known as Long Bien. Every day on my way to work, I drive across a very large red ribbon, so that meant I usually went over one of very famous attractions in Hanoi, the Long Bien Bridge. The bridge was finished in 1903 as part of an ambitious project your real-life appoint city of Hai Phong, through Hanoi the immensity of creamy in China. When it was finished, it was one of the longest bridges in Far East stretching about a mile and a half over the rescue.

After independence from the French, the Vietnamese Government repaired the Long Bien Bridge and it became a strategic focal point in the war with the US. Because it was the only bridge over the Red River that connected Hai Phong with the rest of North Vietnam. In the late 1960s, the Us Air Force bombed the bridge repeatedly but for Vietnamese the period every time. Finally, in 1972, the US hit the bridge to the first large-scale operation use laser-guided bombs putting several spans into the water. However, the bridge was repaired and is still used today by train and bikes in Hanoi. Nowadays, it's not the only the biggest bridge but it is the most historic.

On the bridge are vendors selling pros and even drinks for people who want to get away from the heat of the Hanoi city and catch agrees beneath the bridge lies a large island rich we all deposits and this applies a good portion of pros to the Old Quarter in Hanoi, because it's quite actually green island acquired to you or when can go to escape the city for a few hours. Living on the other side of the river is quite nice and it gives the opportunity to visit a bridge that is sort of a metaphor for Hanoi, a bit older and fatter but still use and very relevant to people today.
