Flights from Hue to Nha Trang, Dalat to be operated soon

To meeting the increasing travel demand of tourists in Hue City, the city’s administration coordinated with Jetstar Pacific Airlines to operate flights from Hue to Nha Trang and Dalat in the time coming to boost tourism in these destinations.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tinh, Director of Jetstar Pacific Airlines branches in the south and in central Vietnam said that Hue - Dalat route and Hue - Nha Trang route with the frequency of 3-4 flights/week. It is expected that these flights will be exploited from August 2015. According to Mr. Nguyen Dung, Vice-Chairman of Thua Thien - Hue People's Committee, the new routes will contribute greatly to the development of Hue tourism and enhance the economic exchange between Hue and provinces in the south and in Central Highlands. Thua Thien - Hue Province pledged to have a supporting mechanism such as shuttle service from Phu Bai International Airport to Hue City, sightseeing ticket discount for passengers of the routes... According to the Transport Department of Thua Thien Hue, the needs of local people and visitors from Phu Bai International Airport to Cam Ranh International Airport and Lien Khuong Airport, and vice versa are significant and continue to rise in the coming period.

On June 29 afternoon, Deputy Chairman Nguyen Dung hosted the work with Jetstar Pacific Airlines JSC led by Nguyen Dinh Tinh, Director of branches of JPA in the central and south of Vietnam and had a meeting plan to operate new flights from Hue to Dalat and flights from Hue to Nha Trang and vice versa. According to the Transport Department of Thua Thien Hue, the needs of local people and visitors from Hue to Nha Trang and Dalat and vice versa are significant and continue to rise in the coming period. Every day, there are about 750 passengers to Nha Trang and vice versa, and 400 passengers to Dalat and vice versa. It is estimated that if these routes are exploited, they will appeal a large number of local people and tourists from Quang Binh and Quang Tri having a demand to travel Nha Trang and Dalat.

According to Mr. Phan Tien Dung, Director of Department of Hue Culture, Sports and Tourism, annually Hue welcomes over 1 million international tourists, and many of whom wish to travel by air to the two cities. It will be suitable to exploit these two routes with fixed flights weekly. Tourists and travel companies can take advantages of setting up tours. The representative of Jetstar Pacific Airlines, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tinh informed of the plan to exploit two domestic flights Hue - Dalat, and Hue - Nha Trang flights and vice versa with an estimated capacity of about 3-4 flights/week, and explore in August 2015. At the same time, he proposed the province to support shuttle service for passenger, ad-supported information on this new route on the mass media and visual advertising...

At the end of the meeting, Deputy Chairman Nguyen Dung appreciated the plan of opening new routes of Jetstar Pacific Airlines in Hue, and emphasized that these routes will contribute to meeting the demand for travel, tourism and economic trade of people in the province with the southern provinces and the Central Highlands. Hue province will create the most favorable condition for Jetstar Pacific Airlines to exploit effectively these routes. Deputy Chairman also directed departments and relevant branched coordinating to research proposals of Jetstar Pacific Airlines and Hue People's to have support mechanisms and support passengers, create conditions for a favorable business activity while exploiting these new routes, and serve the travel needs of the people and socio-economic development in the province.
