Vietnam - Korea Cartoon Festival 2015 will be organized for the second time in four days from August 13 - 16, 2015 in Hanoi at Korean Cultural Center. The festival will be a great chance for Vietnam animation to learn and exchange with that of Korea.

Vietnam - Korea Animation Festival (VKAF) held by the Korean Cultural Center under the support of the Vietnam Cinema Department, Vietnam Animation Film Studio, Gangwon Information & Multimedia Corporation (GIMC) took place for the first time in Hanoi in September 2014. The festival is a non-profit event. It is held to create a healthy playground for Vietnamese and Korean cartoon movie lovers. Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Park Nark Jong - Director of Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam said that the Vietnam - Korea Cartoon Festival 2015 will take place for the second time in four days from August 13 - 16, 2015. The purposes of this cartoon festival include supporting Vietnam animation producers to develop, support to introduce Vietnam cartoon movies to the world market, and introduce Korean animation industry to Vietnam market.

The highlight of the Animation Festival in Vietnam 2015 is the Making short cartoon movie contest for all professional and non-professional cartoon movie makers in Vietnam. Three most outstanding entries will receive the guidance of Gangwon Information & Multimedia Corporation and some famous cartoon production companies in Korean to develop completely before joining the International Animation Festival in Chuncheon (South Korea) in September this year. People who love making cartoon movies and want to introduce their works to the international audience at the International Animation 2015 in Incheon Korea will have 02 months to turn their wishes into reality by taking competition of short animation. This is an online contest for cartoon lovers to turn their innovative ideas into a short animation and the opportunity to introduce their works at the International Cartoon Festival in September 2015. The contest is open to all amateur and professional subjects in the field of Vietnam cartoon movies. Competitors as individuals, groups, and companies can join the festival with each movie lasting less than 10 minutes.

A few days ago in Hanoi, there was a press conference on Vietnam - Korea Animation Festival 2015 at Korean Cultural Center. The festival will be held from August 13 - 16, 2015 to create an interesting playground for animation lovers, contributing to the exchange and development of animation in Vietnam and in Korean. At the press meeting, Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam - Par Nark Jong said the Korea has a developed animation industry and extensive experience in the production of cartoons and advertising and succeeding in bringing Korean animation to global market. Mr. Par Nark Jong stressed that continuing the first festival's success in Vietnam in September 2014, the second festival in 2015 this will assist Vietnam animators to develop their products and have the opportunity to introduce products to the world market.

General Director of Vietnam Animation Company - Luong Thi Minh Phuong said that the festival was an opportunity for those who make cartoon movies in Vietnam to learn from the experiences of Korean artists. This is also an opportunity for Vietnam animation studio to introduce their works abroad. The festival also supports Vietnam animation producers to develop, to introduce Vietnam cartoon to the world market, and to introduce Korean animation industry to Vietnam market. The highlight of the Vietnam - Korea Cartoon Festival in Hanoi is the Short Cartoon Movie Contest for all professional and non-professional cartoon movie makers in Vietnam. Three most outstanding entries will receive the guidance of Gangwon Information & Multimedia Corporation and some famous cartoon production companies in Korean to develop completely before joining the international animation festival in Chuncheon (South Korea) in September this year. Besides the Contest of short animation, VKAF 2015 has some other activities such as sharing experiences from famous animation companies in Korea and free screening of cartoons for children. The festival will contribute to enhance the exchange in animation of two countries.
